United in Faith
Driven by Mission
We are a nonprofit dedicated to short-term missions in Latin America. Rooted in the holistic principles of early Christianity,
we believe true ministry must nurture the mind, body, and spirit.

Somewhere along the line, the noise drowned out the calling. Returning to The Way is an invitation to step off the paved road of modern Christianity and back onto the dusty paths where it all began. It is a commitment to holistic living—where caring for physical needs and spiritual needs are one and the same. It’s not about doing more; it’s about being more. Come walk with us, and rediscover a faith that moves.
Before it was a religion, it was a movement.
Before it was a set of rules, it was simply called "The Way."
Returning to The Way means stripping away the modern noise to find the ancient path of Yeshua Jesus. It’s a shift from consuming faith to practicing it. We aren't interested in building up walls or debating theology; we are interested in walking out radical love, serving the overlooked, and letting our actions speak the truth that our words cannot.

The trips to Latin America don't separate "humanitarian aid" from "ministry." Whether it is building a shelter, providing medical advocacy, or simply sharing a meal, One United Missions International (One UMI) treats the whole person—mind, body, and spirit.
One UMI rejects the "savior complex" often found in traditional mission work. Volunteers don't go to Latin America to "fix" communities; they go to partner with them. By working side-by-side with local leaders and neighbors, the organization fosters mutual respect and genuine, long-lasting relationships.
The organization strips away the "noise" and bureaucracy of modern religious tourism.
The focus is kept entirely on the essentials: serving the overlooked, loving people exactly where they are, and walking out the teachings of Yeshua Jesus in real-time.
By followingThe Way," One UMI shifts the focus from converting to connecting, from preaching to practicing, and from talking to walking.

The One UMI Ethos: Partnership,
Not Patronage.
At One United Missions International, we do not measure success by the number of projects completed, but by the depth of the relationships built and the dignity preserved. Our ethos is defined by four core commitments:
1. The Seat at the Table: We believe the most important work happens while "sitting at the table." We do not arrive with answers; we arrive with ears to hear. We honor the wisdom of local leaders, recognizing that they are the primary architects of their community’s restoration. We are invited guests, never self-appointed heroes.
2. Radical Transparency: As stewards of both mission and resources, we operate in the light. From our $1,500 all-in project costs to our "In-Country" logistics, every dollar is accounted for and every process is open. We believe that integrity in the "small things" of administration is an act of worship.
3. The "Way" of Excellence: Informed by a veteran’s discipline and a traveler’s precision, we reject the "good enough" standard often found in short-term missions. We adhere to the Seven Standards of Excellence (SOE), ensuring our missions are safe, professional, and strategically impactful. We prepare thoroughly so we can serve effectively.
4. Empowerment over Dependency: Our goal is to work ourselves out of a job. We provide the tools, the materials, and the labor that empower a community to thrive long after our plane departs. we focus on holistic care—mind, body, and spirit—ensuring that our "footprint" is one of growth, not a trail of reliance.
